Knife fish is very skinny

I bought a royal knife fish 3 weeks ago he is about 3 inches and I have not seen him oncesince I bought him .... until today ....I have searched the tank many times movin plants and what not i assumed he was dead/eatin/jumped out....cause he was just gone ... Well today he showed up I was very shocked but he looks much much skinnier than he was when I got him I don't think he has ate at all I feed them massivore/bloodworms/krill/plankton/and beef heart.... Idk what the prob is and for tht matter how he could just completely dissapear for that long .... Other than that he has no fraid fins no marks on him no signs of being bullied or stress

What was he eating before you got him? You was probably on live feeders.

Your options are to keep doing what you are doing and hoping he breaks... and you break and put in feeders.

Could move him to a Q tank by himself so you know he is eating until he gets a bit bigger/used to eating prepared foods.

Live feeders is not a option for him no one sells anything other than gold fish and minnows they are to big for him to eat
