It really depends on the BGK. I've seen it work and I've seen it go down like a riot. Usually, the CK will be chill and I've heard that the BGK can be very territorial. I've had both, but never tried keeping them together before. I know most books will say that CKs are territorial and will kill, but I've never encountered this with a CK...usually, they'll buddy up.
I have both in the same tank 112Us Gallon(430Liters), together with 2 Severums and a Jack Dempsey, 2x Syn Cats anda PLeco. They dont have any issues whatsoever, They each have theyre own little hiding spot, busy working on some bogwood for more cover.
They are both the same size about(CK & BGK), with the clown being the largest.
So I think it depends totally on the fish, I also keep mine well fed.
