By the Beach!
I just got back from my lfs and they had a so called black marbled ghost knifefish. After taking a look at it, it did not resemble a bgk but more of a abk. Funny thing is it had a white stripe running down its face just like a bgk. It was priced at 10-12 dollars (cant remember the exact amount) so Im assuming it wasnt rare. Any idea on the ID would be great cuz im in the market for a knife. Sorry I dont have any pics but i did check out sticky and it kinda looked like a brachyhypopomud occidentalis.

I dont think it did but I cant say for sure. If it is still there on Wednesday I can tell you forsure cuz I get a new filter then!

I think it probably was a Marbled BGK. They've been more available lately. At first the way you described it (saying that it looked more like a ABK), I was thinking Papyrocranus Afer, but then you mentioned that it still had a white stripe on it's head.

Update but only bad news! I went into my lfs today and they had sold the knife and they didnt have my filter in :irked: Thanks anyway and if I see this species again ill ask again!
