Pretty bad pics. It's black and I know it's clown knife, but could someone help me ID it? And also I think it's melanistic, as I have seen the same species in silver colour.
It's not at CK. It's an Asian Black Knife (Notopterus Notopterus). They grow to about 12" and are one of the more aggressive of the Notopteridae family.

Color tone is very similar to a clown knife. I got one at 14" BTW and they are tend to be nippy to new comers especially other silvery fish or with long flowing fins.
You bet it's doing well..... after my Jag took down my jardini, I WAS a bit tensed.... but this guy's been really good at dodging the jag!
It doesn't eat from the surface though..... in fact I don't see it eating at all.... may be it's eating while rummaging on the substrate.
