knife questionss

i was at the fish place today and my plan was to come home with a clown knife... well i had two choices... a small guy that my oscars would most likely have bullied or a huge guy that wouldnt have enough room in my tank.. i couldnt believe how big these fish were... that had to be a foot and a half and fat.. *(im not exagerating! ) i was wondering how old do u think these ck are? and also what size tank would be appropriate for them.. i almost bought one out of ignorance for my 55 gal but i know that he wouldnt have room to be happy...

mine is about 15" and is only about 1 1/2 years old. they grow super fast (depending on temp and diet) they are a great fish to keep if you can get the tank.

From experience, they are very mellow fish. I've seen them in pairs. All of the CKs I've had have been pretty cool. The most aggressive one I have is the one I have now and it's not really aggressive, it just doesn't like other fish getting too close it it.
