knifefish arowana compatability

so I have two silver arowanas and 15+ bichirs mostly upper jaw. I posted my complete stock on the bichir forum. By monday I need to decide whether to get a papyrocranus afer and/or a tiger knifefish not sure which species haven't seen him.. Any experiences keeping arowanas and afers together also can the two knives coexist? The knifes aren't too much $20 a piece at lfs when they come on monday i look at their list and pick the ones i want cause i know the guy. Also any other advice would be appreciated.

I have currently have my 400 African set up with 2 African aros and 2 Papyrocranus afer and a buch more the get along fine except sometimes the 2 afers scuffle but the compatibility is good between the aros an the afers I will post some pics soon

I don´t know if the p. afer will do well with arowanas... I read them don´t but don´t have 1st hand experience.

Actually at the moment I am considering to do, or not, the same combo
I have a 22" inch RTG arowana in a tank with 3 leporinus and a panaque and a 14" P. afer with 3 gars and 5 bichirs in another tank. It would make more sense to put the afer with the RTG because it´s a larger tank but I am hesitating because of the size difference and of what I read about their (in)compatibility.

I put a 4 inch p. afer with a 3 inch lei. He really messed up the lei. My afer always chooses at least one fish to pick on.

Afers can be really nasty at night when the lights are off.When mine was smaller it would hide away during the day and at night it would come out and attack the other fish.It is much bigger and pretty peaceful now.
