I posted last week about my black ghost attacking my vaccuum hose whenever I do water changes. People asked for a video, but all I have at the moment are pictures, so here they are. The retaded Black Ghost!

You can see the damage he has done to the bottom of the 1 inch hose. It is soooo hard to vaccuum now and dodge his anger at the same time.
you should really be careful....ur fish made the end of the hose pretty damn rigid and sharpe....mine is the same and it cut 2 of my fishes up pretty badly.....
If you think about it, the knifefish use electrical sensory to navigate.. When you put that syphon in the water it probably creates new currents and vibrations that it can sense.. It's structure could be similiar to a rival knifefish species or some other fish.
I have had a large Carapo knives come out to 'investigate' syphon tubes, but seldom did they attack it.. Sometimes they would try to swim into it, some would try to cuddle with it. Interesting i would say.
That is a nice knife, How big is it? It has quite the stripe!! I only thought the brown ones got those kind of stripes?
