i saw a few small Pikes at the lfs. light green with yellow flanks bordered in black about 3''long. how big? will it have a problem with a BGN?

Hmmm not sure what kind they are kind of sounding like a saxatilis pike

I've seen people put pikes with knifes there could be an aggression issue but most pikes are calm so the main worrie would be it would get out competed for food so if you did get one you may have to hand feed your knife or feed it at night

Aye, BGKs generally get along great with Crenicichla. As long as they can't get eaten mind you.
