I usually feed my BGK bloodworms daily. He loves them. From what I've read it's hard for a lot of people to get their knifefish onto pellets. When I fed my cats the Hikari Gold I saw my knife happily snag a few pellets for himself. Has anyone else had their knife swap from meat to pellets on it's own? Or do I just have a really good fish? I wish I was able to take a picture of him. My phone was charging.

My pellets dont get to my knives so idk. I think african knives take a bit long to find food

My clown knife eats anything that floats, including pellets. Haven't been able to get him to eat anything that sinks. I think he's just a weird knife though, from everything I've read they're only bottom feeders, and like you said, hard to get onto pellets. I like it though, makes it fun to feed him

My BGK happily ate pellets when I had it. There wasn't much she didn't eat for that matter. I've never heard of people "pellet training" BGK's, they seem to just eat them straight up. Maybe its the laid back Aussie lifestyle that makes them eat their pellets. :D

Maybe I'm just confusing their eating habits with those of other knives.

Maybe, idk coz I've never kept other knives. Actually I don't think I've ever seen a knife that wasn't a ghost knife down here... Damn Tassie and its ridiculous restrictions... Actually scratch that, damn stupid people that done stupid things that made the government feel the need for the restrictions. :/

I've seen 2 CKs, 2 RCKs, and 6 BGKs. Knives aren't the most common down here either.

I see tons of ghost knives, mostly black but a few brown here and there. And you're most definitely "up" from where I am. Even other people in Australia are "up" from me. I'm right down the bottom if the country. Its gotta be one of the worst places on earth to keep fish, both variety and price wise. :(
