what kind of pellets? i have mine trained to eat crisps and some sinking pellets, along with bloodworms and much more. it even swims through my hands sometimes=] they are very fun to have. it is about 5 or 6 in long too so im sure they are similar. one more q is it an african brown, clown, or black ghost?

mine eat massivore as its normal diet but i throw in treats 2 days a week.shrimp, tilapia, silversides are his most favorate.

they can but use them just as a treat every once in a while, like feeder goldfish (comets) they are very high in fat content so dont make it a staple in their diet. mine usually likes sinking pellets better because, like you, i have two oscars and they usually eat the floating ones before the knife can get any. it does get up there and eat with them sometimes. i use tetramin tropical crisps and sinking pellets. the crisps are great because they sink slowly so my knife swallows them up on the way down.

ow ok, thanks for the info,,, just want to clear that out,,, because my bro had one of this fish,,, he always feed him with guppies,, it grew up to almost 20 inches... its really sad that it died.. cause one night it jumped out of the tank, ,hai.......... thanks for the info's

no problem, ive always loved having knifes just because they are so cool to watch swim. good luck and keep us posted on how he is eating! guppies are much better than goldfish when he gets big enough to feed with fish. :)

I have a clown knife about 6" and mines trained on veggie rounds, sinking shrimp pellets, and even will eat cichlid pellets.
