I have a clown knive that is roughly 2.5 feet in length. It looks like its growing a beard or some kinda sack lookin thing under his mouth. Is this normal?

Do you feed it shrimp with shell on or with the head spikes ? Does it open, extend its mouth, as if it wants to spit something?

I've had one that I believe was hurt inside the mouth on account of small shrimp spikes. It also had that "beardish " look...
