I think mfk should have a list of compatible knives and combos that will prove to be deadly. Can glass knives be kept with a carapo?

The peaceful knives can be kept togethor. Which would be Centipede, Mottled, and Glass.. perhaps African Brown as well, maybe a few others.

The non-peaceful knives can live with NO other knives of any sort..

i have a clown knife with a african brown knifefish but he may end up as food later on but good so far and i agree as what miles says

I hve a Clown in with a Tiger Oscar and a comon pleco. The Oscar is smaller, omly about 2 1/2 inches to the clowns 6 inches. they get along all right

I would have to say that the african brown knives could probably live with the majority of the electrical knives, provided enough hiding spaces. I have even heard of larger electric knives being housed in very large (300g+) tanks, with plenty of isolated hiding spots (huge gnarly driftwood chunks).. The knives would often fight at night and would have wounds, but co-existed to large sizes.

so I can get a brown african for my carapos? cool, is there a can I only keep one brown african per tank? and no one has awnsered the glass with carapo question.

No. They cannot stand the aggression level of a carapo. They're too much peaceful for them. :naughty:

Best regards.

Daniel.
