Hey all,
I think these may be seed shrimp, but not sure.

Sorry about the image quality, it's the best i could get without a macro lense.
Any ideas?
Cheers

They are hard to the touch, and free swim in the tank (though spend most of their time perched on riccia or clutching the filter sponge). Though the photos don't show it, you can see little legs flapping when they swim.
Planaria are flat worms are they not? I'd say these are not a planaria of some sort.
Sorry

Not quite the same, though I'm in Aus, and that pic above is a US photo I think. May be a diff species of the group. I reccon they are seed shrimp, and the fish love them! :)

I've taken a couple of photos through a hand lense, maybe that will help (though the quality ain't good, you can see the legs).
There is definitely a clam like shell surrounding the legs, though I could not catch that on the photos.
They are hard to the touch, and freely swim about the tank when I disturb them.

I think you've found him, though mine are distinctly cream coloured with quite visible internal organs of quite a few colours. Same shape though.
Thanks all for the help.
Have to do some experiments to see if I can produce bulk to feed out!
I've been after these dudes ever since I heard about them, and hey presto they just turned up in my tank (no new fish or plants for over 6 months). They must have been in that tank for ages, and only got to breed up once I removed the fish.
:) :) :)
