Know When To Stop

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before but I couldn't find anything about it. Well, I learned the hard way that you must know when to stop sucking on the hose when you vacuum gravel during a water change. I put the tube that you vacuum the gravel with and sucked on the other end to get the water going into the bucket. I wasn't paying attention and got a mouth full of dirty, smelly water from under the gravel. I started gagging and went to brush my teeth and rinsed my mouth with Listerine. Don't have the rotten taste in my mouth now but just thinking about it makes me gag. Will pay attention from now on.

I don't suck I blow I use to suck it and get a mouth full but now I just blow it and wait for it to discharge.

Get a fx5 or eheim 2262 and build yourself an automatic vacuum...I think I'll have to find the link again

EWWW i hate that! but its wierd the prime gives it a very nasty taste...

Here for the 2262 adaptation...I think it will work with an fx5 with some proper connections.
