Well seeing how constantly researching on koi spawning, my koi are at it once again. My kois are 7 years old so they are going nuts, I will separate females if necessary. My questions are can I turn a 35Gallon plastic container into a Fry Pond? Will an air stone help keep fry alive?( Instead of a filter) I will be crushing high protein koi food, and be lazy and just get the left over powder at the bottom. 
I seriously need help, I want to help the fry live once they hatch(I have used spawning mops prior the spawning, I had a gut feeling.They were dancing and rubbing on rocks.) If I let the eggs stay in the pond, my bullheads would just use them as a delightful treat. I appreciate all help and opinions, even negative comments, Just want help and opinions.
