Koi - eye pop

Hey came home yesterday to my Koi's eye looking almost popped out. no signs of aggression in tank only other tank mate is another koi of eaqual size 5.5" each. Any disease i might need to be looking at or could he have just banged it bad and I shouldn't worry much?

I know this response is late, but does the fish still have the issue? Is it just one eye, or does the other seem bulged out at all?

It could be internal bacteria infection, or it could be caused by some type of trauma.
