Koi fish

Are koi carnivorous? Every time I put frozen feeders into the tank, my koi will be the first to come to eat. I'm worried that it will eat other smaller fish in the tank.

Had one hold his own with an Aro and a rtc. He also use to chase around my other goldfish and nip them but he never outright ate one. Ultimately, my rtc got too big and he messed with the rtc way too much and became an expensive feeder.

Bingo. However, come feeding time, if a small fish is dumb enough to get in between food and a koi's mouth it will disappear pretty quickly.

I have seen a common Carp at a lake eat a topminnow once (and theyre not supposed to be piscavorous), so I would definately think a Koi would eat any fish that can fit in its mouth.....sorry but I think its hilarious your koi became a feeder for your Rtc!
