Koi with aro's???

I did that before. The koi totally eat up all the leftovers... but they too sh1t like non stop:D
 
i can live with fish that crap... tank gets crap sucked once or twice a day.... and strong turnover, heavy filtration... so i think its worth a go... how slow did u acclimatise them up to temp and what temp was the tank?

I never bother about the temp in there. The fella just live happily in there. The digital thermometer is showing 29'C though.
 
wicked... koi shopping... hmm... cheap! garden center or lfs or sumint?
color wise i want either platinum, dark grey with gold n black patches or white if black spots.... are there like cheap ones of these? i duno squat bout koi.... i looked at em lots in mates ponds that bout it.... mite go see what i can rustle when my mates at work.....:naughty: he seriously wouldn't notice.... but i guess thats wrong so garden center it is....

nah, its good! ive cracked it... a prehistoric tank is a messy thing, think to predict food wise is tuff and you always end up cleaning uneat food the tank so u need a clean up crew but, i dont want any thing violent, teritorial, small, dull or unfreindly. as little none prehistoric's as poss, so im thinking, a koi for the surface and a megladora or clarias for bottom duties?

Koi in tank always at the bottom and sometime mid level:D
 
but feed from the surface? or will it do both top n bottom clean up? will it yam prawns?
 
How big do Koi get????
