i'm going through the galleries, and i am seeing all these different size kok on each flower horn, ranging from non exsistant kok to huge. i personally preffere a smaller kok but i was wondering about the size difference. are they diferent species of flower horn? so can anyone answer for me what exactly causes the difference's in the sizes?
thanks

There are lots of species of fh's ZZ,kamfa...etc usually the size of the kok depends on what kind of genes he has the better one's usually have the big kok's.

We should ask mystix212...He LOVES the kok.........

Different species of FH's are different in coloration, pearls, structure.. etc. But the big kok is from good genes!

there are a different types of kok
kok depends on the genes of the fish
the biggest kok you get is waterhead or softhead FH
the smaller ones are usually the bonehead FHs
but even here the size depends on the upbringing and the genes of the fish

thhis is my FH could you guys tell me what kind he is? that would be awesome. i know that it has the MFK water stamp but if you look at my gallery there are more pics of him we just took this one of my frinds puter

so does it look like FH has any KOK potential? or is he going to be one of the ones that just gets a little one? my wife dosent like FH's with the larger KOK. and how can you tell?

i'd say urs has a good chance of getting a decent size hump. you can already start to see, either were he had a big one and it shrunk, or it is starting to fill in. prolly more the later. just keep him happy, and fed. good water quality, and maybe a mate :)
