Can someone explain to me what a Koliba is? I have read that koliba is a variation of Lapradei, but what makes a Lapradei to a Koliba? Is it the origin? Coloration?

And what is a Volta? Also a Lapradei or what? Are there any more other names/variations?

Because here in Sweden, a Lapradei is a Lapradei and nothing else!

i think koliba is just a variation of a lapradei, like koloton. patterns are different between a lap compared to sp. Koliba(to me KOLIBA has a horizontal figure "8" pattern leading towards the end of the tail, where laps usually just have half vertical bars on the back end of the body... not sure if that makes sense).

Volta is where the fish was caught (its a river in africa "volta river") just regional variants like P. E. Endlicheri "Volta"

yes "sp. Koliba" is likely a variant of the Guinea lapradei. There are unique characteristics that belong to the "sp. Koliba" that distinguish them from other variants. And Koliba is a river in Guinea where the fish is collected. FYI there are clear pattern differences between Guinea lapradei (and "sp. Koliba") and the usual lapradei (which are from Nigeria).

as said, Volta is a river too, and refers to the endlicheri collected from there to distinguish it from other regional variants of endlicheri, that's all.
