Ok so I got my new Koralia 2 in today. First off I love the way it attaches to the tank and how secure it is. Question is that it came with a cone that can be attached to the end to make the water more unidirectional. You folks that use these in FW tanks, do you find them to be more effective with or without this attachment? Also how is this for set up. I placed the Koralia at the right upper corner of the tank pointing towards the overflow on the opposite end of the tank. I placed my other powerhead 1140 penguin at the bottom left corner of the tanks below the overflow to circulate water back over to the Koralia. Tried to set up a circulating motion counter clockwise in the tank eventually ending up in the overflow to the sump.

I have a Koralia 4 powerhead and the piece that I think your talking about is a fish guard...Are you talking about just a piece of plastic (edit: cone like shape) that you put over the tip of the powerhead to enclose the impeller, i was not going to put it on there because i wanted the most out of what i bought, but i read in the manual about what it was when i got it and it said it was a fish guard, so even though i have large fish i have some small ones and plecos so i didn't want any of them trying to swim into it.....also the flow sounds good the way you have it set up in your tank.
