Hi,

I have 2x "Koralia 3" pumps in my reeftank. They are on timers to replicate the tides. Now I hear they shouldn't be on timers that turn them on and off. I don't have any documentation or a manual on them. They seem to work just fine.

Is this true that putting these pumps on timers will break them? Has anyone tried it, and what happened?

They are nice pumps, and would be expensive to replace. However, I like the timer setup, since it uses less electricity and the inverts get current from varying directions.

Thanks,
S

I never heard that putting them on timers will break them but if you are concerned go to the website for koralia and ask them yourself and they'll have a 100% positive answer for you.

I'm not trying to start a argument , But, I'm telling you they will say you can't put regular Korallias on timers, they will tell you to buy there products that hook up to a controller.
They don't even have a plug that goes in a wall they have to plug into there controller.
