I have a pair of Kribs. They havent spawned yet. The male is always in and out of this cave. But he chases the female off every now and then. Her belly is HUGE and red. She's been doing the courtship dance around him but no spawning. I got the male 2 days ago. is this normal?!

Mine took quite a while to do it actaully. I would suggest u just relax and they will get their business done.

Oh okay thanks! He just chases her away. He does no harm to her. I actually have 2 females in the tank. One female is showing off her belly. Her belly looks like it's about to explode! It's a beautiful purple with a red glow. But the male just pushed her away and then he goes into his cave. Every now and then she goes in the cave.

its actaully common for fish to fight when mating. My kribs did as well and i woke up one day to fry!!! i didnt even know they had eggs lol

pretty sure at least mine did

lol this coming from a member with one of the most hyperspastic sprees of threads in the history of MFK  no but seriously no offense to you and good luck with your kribs!

haha ik so many questions.
but you can also change your heater temperature from a few degrees down and back up to act as if the seasons are changing. or put in slate. i put in slate for my kribs and they breed as soon as i put it in about a week after i changed it around i saw fry

There is nothing you need to do. You've only had the male for two days. Give them a week. And they have to have a cave to spawn, most of the time i've seen them spawn out in the open somewhere. Also are you sure you picked up a male? A lot of people try to sex them by the pink bellies, male and female can have the pink bellies. But all you really need to do is wait a max of 2 weeks and you'll have fry. Kribs assuming you actually have male and female, are an add water will breed fish.
