ok.. I was looking to add a pair of kribs to a planted tank.. and I saw albinos and regular colored ones at my LFS.. my question is... do male and female albino kribs make albino fry... or will they all be regular colored... what about a normal colored one breeding with an albino?..

depends on the dominant gene.
in convicts the black is dominant over the pink,
so thats what it should be in kribs as well.
if u breed a albino with a regular u get about 25% albino and 75% regular depending upon the sexes.

I've heard that the male pelvachromis pulcher is more attracted to the albino female and will choose to breed with the albino over normal colored female.

I disagree with that. I had 2 males and 5 females (2 albino and 3 regs) in a 75g tank and both males chose a regular female.

Actually, they did a scientific study on this subject, forget the University at the time being. They found that almost 85% (iirc) of the normal females chose the albino male over a regular male.

They think it is because with the albinos, the spots on the tail are more visible. I don't know if the same is true of the males preferring the females though.
