I want to breed Pelvicachromis pulchers and I was wondering how many I should put into my 29 gal. tank to help them pair up and if I should put three females and one male or try two males two females?

Well if you cant tell the sex of the fish then put about six together and wait until they naturally pair up. I wouldnt put more than 2pairs in that tank, so maybe just put in two males and two females, as far as I know they will eventually pair up.

they should be easy to tell apart. try 1 male 3 females . 2 males will probably fight.

Female kribs are generally more aggressive towards other female kribs. It is usually best to let a pair pick themsleves, but P. pulcher are pretty easy to pair off. If the fish are yound I would go with a male adn two females. Once the pair is established they will probably produce fry until you are driven crazy by them.
