i have a male and female kribensis cichlids and they are breeding! this is my first experience breeding any fish at all. ive done some research on it but im wondering if anybody has had experience breeding these guys and could give me a couple tips on how to handle it?

give them a spawning cave and let them be, they will pretty much handle it on their own. you will know its done when the males starts keeping watch out side the cave and the female remains inside. they produce a ton of very tiny fry. its been a while but depending on the water parameters such as PH will dictate if you have a female or male heavy spawn.
you may also loose all of them this round and the next few. my pair still cant manage to keep them alive yet. on their 3rd spawn
My pair has spawned about 5 times and didn't really manage to keep save their offspring effectively until I moved their spawning cave (actually just a cheap little fake pirate ship I through in for fun) towards the back of the tank in the corner so they didn't have so many angles to protect from. Now they tend to lose only a very small portion of their bunch.
