kribensis harem vs. pair?

I'm thinking of starting a kribensis breeding tank in a 30gal, and if I do, should I keep one male with a harem of three females, or should I have two pairs?

Also what would be good small dither fish for the tank that are from their habitat?

yes. tetras would be ok.
