my kribensis pair are good breeders but only seem to produce males. i have tried changing the ph levels and temperature also but this is the 6th lot of male kribs that have survived. any suggestions would be brilliant.

LOL

I know the pH does do this - what is the pH of your water?

Don't do anything so drastic like 8. Try 7.5 but most importantly you don't want to stress out the fish. If the fish are happy, that's more important than stressing them out just to get some baby females.

i think i may have tried 7.5, nothing seems to make a difference. the parents are always happy enough, the 'babies' are little terrors (but great fun!) i just thought that its weird that they have never had females tho. ive had the temperature ranging between 24-28 celcius at different times.

I think temps also play a part. Little terrors huh cute
