Some town
my kribs just bred, and I didn't even mean for them to. One day while doing a water change I knocked a rock over and there was a little space between the rock and the ground. I didn't feel like putting it back up, and now my kribs (Pelvicachromis Pulcher) have had bred underthere. Could any pf you tell me these fish's parenting habits?

Even though I've used baby brine shrimp to raise baby kribs, it was easier and just as effective to use finely crushed flake food. If I were to do it again, I'd probably use Hikari's First Bites food.

Kribs are excellent parents and will take care of their young. They may become a bit aggressive and one of the pair may need to be separated. If you have any finny fish they may be at a bit of risk as the parents become protective of their little cave and the young.

Update: The krib babies are about 1 and a half months old, and the parents have started to keep a looser eye on the babies. There about a quater of an inch and show some patterns. There's about 4 or 5 of them.
