Krylon Driving Me Insane

i painted the outside of a large rubbermaid tub and around the top a little with krylon fusion i have let it dry almost a week now...i started to get it ready to put my fish in it and i took a wet paper towel to the inside to get some dust and such out and the towel keeps getting black paint!...in areas i didnt even paint...i have been rinsiing and wiping for about and hour now and still getting the same thing....any suggestions...i dont want to kill my fish

Did you mask the tank before you sprayed it? You are probably just wiping up overs pray. Give the tank a good wipe down and you should be fine.

Did you sand the surface before painting? I've found that it tends to chip/flake off of smooth plastic.

I use it on all the diy intakes and returns in my tanks your fish will be fine

ok i wiped it down and rinsed very good(i think) i added the fish about an hour ago. hope i done everything right..they are cheap fish but i still dont want them to die
