krylon fusion drying time

Personally, I did the black krylon fusion on white PVC thing. I even prepped, sanded the PVC, sprayed painted, waited a week b4 placing in water. Even then, the paint still chips and scratches off. It's looks ugly after a while, started trying to hide it with driftwood. After much research, you can buy black PVC up to 1 1/4" PVC. Otherwise, I just use ABS piping and fittings since my plumbing is 1 1/2". Just my 2cents, my opinion.

I painted the return on my sump balck and its lasted no chipping though its really only a small peice that enters the tank.
Reason why i asked is i was hoping to put them in the tank tomorrow. Guess i will just wait until next week.

you can put it in after 3 days / 72 hours.
sand down really good and do about 3
coats and it'll last without chipping off.

I bought a 58" long 1.5" thick black pvc pipe for $14 shipped from reef supply. For that price id rather never have to worry about chipping
