would a few kuhli loaches be good in a ten gallon with dwarf crayfish, snails and a ph of 8 in hard water?

What is the temperature reange for them? right now the tank can reach 68f to 86f,.

A bigger tank would be much more preferable. With those lot you already have, the kuhlis would not be comfortable swimming around in your tank. Why not get a 15g or 20g even? If you do hope to keep kuhlis, keep four as the minimum. They will not bother your inverts but space is the main concern here right now. Keep temperature consistent at 76 degrees Fahrenheit as much as possible. Not all snails can tolerate very warm temperature and often will die quickly as a result.

ok lupin ill wait for the 20 gallon to come along before getting kuhlis, i keep bladders, mts, ramshorns and trapdoor, vivip,. they are all doing pretty good so far. would cinder sand be a good substrate for kuhlis or is their a better alternative that can be recommeded that isn't hard to come by and affordable. what types of rock are the most suitable for kuhlis i was thinking that rocks eroded smooth by water would be good.

Stick to smooth rocks. Could you not get Tahitian black sand or pool silica sand? I'm not sure I am familiar with cinder sand.

The cinder sand is rough to the touch but not sharp. Can get a yard of this stuff for $25 us. Cinder is a light weight igneous extrusive rock mined within 50 miles from my house, the sand is pea gravel sized down to dust and is black.
