So any first had info on these from who has kept them. I may able to pick up one and was wondering about diet and Tank mate compatibility, water compatibility. This will be for my 220 which has a giraffe, dat, striped pikes, Distichodus atroventralis, and two azul bass.

I have one. They will take anything for food, but their teeth lend themselves more towards meaty food. Mine loves veggies as well though. Im sure the compatibility depends on its size vs the other fish size, but as long as its big enough would be fine with them. They are from clearwater areas with clean high flowing water.

I have plenty of water movement and do two water changes weekly, one 70% and one 50%. This is a ten inch specimen I'm looking at. All the other tank mates are between 12 and 7 inches.

High oxygen meet eaters... great pleco fairly active comparatively... they are molluscs eaters in nature so they love clams but any kind of shell fish works. Not agreessive

I have 8, 4 XL in a 300g with 3 massive caves, hopeful breeding project. 80-84F, major current, FX6 canister, wet/dry with (2) 1200gph returns and (2) koralia powerheads.
(4) juveniles in a 75g, similar current, growing them out. Major meat eaters, shrimp, chopped clams, earthworms, usually do zucchini, pumpkin, or watermelon rind once a week to provide some fiber. Juveniles love live black worms and all frozen foods. Weekly 50% water changes, neutral PH, they can make a mess and eat non stop...
