L-014 sunshine pleco season

So I have been wanting a smaller L-014 for a while now. It seems that I missed my chance this year. What are the typical months they are imported? This way I am ready for next year. Thanks

Aquabid still has L14 (Snookn21). I've gotten about 8 from John over the years and never had a problem with any of them. Also it is a good excuse to get other plecos because shipping is the same up to a point.

Get them now while you can you never know what tomorrow holds or let alone next year!

Actually, I think in a few months, mid to late summer, you may see more of these. My understanding is that most collecting, and then shipping, happens during the dry season, which is summer in the norther hemisphere. Collecting fish is easier in the dry season, when the water levels are lower.

Also, if you don't mind the drive, you may want to check out the October Catfish Convention in Washington DC (http://www.catfishcon.com/). Folks may be bringing their fancy plecos; or you can ask one of the vendors who's coming to bring you one (so far no vendors listed), and you can take it home to save on shipping.
