hey are Magnum/Mango plecos safe with bichirs? my lfs has a good sized one and i was thinking of getting it.

Pleco's are a hit or miss type thing with bichirs, some will live peacefully with bichirs for years and then one day deiced to suck the slime coat off of them or if you have really big bichirs they might turn the tables on your pleco one day.
Should be fine. I'm more worried about the pleco if it gets out compete for food. Fancy plecos somehow gets out compete for food when mix with large monster fish. They soon stop eating, get a sunken eye and get skinny and die. Just make sure you drop some veggies such cut up zucchini or lettuce. I sometimes drop off the remain part of the water melon to my plecos and they eat them. Also yams are good, they get more color.
