i know they are carnivorous and probably will not eat the plants but will they up-root them??? the L-160 is about 5" to 6" and i have some rotalla Indica in the tank.

thanks

It's a possibility, they are "clumbsy" (can't think of a better word) so yeah, there's a chance. They aren't that big though that I think I wouldn't do it...

Depends on how well rooted the plants are. My royals don't do much harm to my plants, and it is a fully planted tank.

the plants are new so they are not well rooted..... what if i put some rocks around the plant's roots at the top of the sand?? will that help??

^^^^Maybe????

ok ill try it and see how it goes

one more question..... will the L-160 eat 1.5" cardinal tetras???

It will eat dead ones, but if full grown, it will have a tough time catching something so small.
