i just introduced a 6" (L-160) to my 75 gallon Where my 10" (L-330) lives.
will this combo work?? the (L-330) is territorial, and pushes fish away. I also have some semi/agressive cichlids in this tank like a jack dempsey but will they harm the L-160 at all??

also what should i feed the L-160????

and whats the MAX size for the L-160??

thanks

The Pseuda should be able to handle it's self and co-exist if there are enough decent hiding spots, but you should always watch for the first couple of weeks carefully.
It is a carnivorous pleco, and should be fed as such. A lot of people have a problem keeping larger carnivorous plecos with Panaques, as the Panaque may end up eating more protein than is necessarily good for it, but you can make it work. Check the dietry thread sticky. They are quite slow growers. Won't get much bigger (if it reaches the size of at all) than your royal is now.

so he will not eat zuchini ???? and does he need wood?? i have driftwood in that tank.

He might, but it's not what he needs. Needs protein based foods. Doesn't "need" wood either, but may or may not grind through it.

ok so what king of Meaty foods do you recommend for him??? i did not find anything in particular in the pleco dietary thread??

will the L-160 damage acrylic tanks With his teeth???

My 160 is about the same size as yours and he is very aggressive with four other pseudacanthicus types. They all thrive in a 180, with tons of roaming space, but they all have their favorite hiding places under various pieces of driftwood.
I feed them a mixture of frozen beefheart, brine, and bloodworms, but they really like the HBH cichlid attack, along with other sinking carnivorous pellets or wafers.
You can also try market shrimp.
Good luck with yours!

ok thanks for the reply. i just moved him to a 55-gallon acrylic and he is the only pleco in that tank.

there is a list of meaty foods, prepared foods, and vegetable type foods? There is also a little segment from COL regarding different species...
