Hello, a few months back we bought some L-204 Emperor Flash plecos and when they came in they looked to be a different fish, they look identical except their spotted, any suggestions, maybe hybrid. We still have the fish. Anyone know which L # this may be? Or is it a L-204 just from a different region or something? Help me out guys, thanks John

pleco do not go hogin (make hybrids)
no thay are not Emperor thay are L-201
but its a nic one to breed

Hmmm, this raises a brow. would you guys say that dominantly spotted cannot be L204 providing they aren't older specimens? The pics I've seen of LDA31 don't seem to have as much of a lyretail going on as a classic L204. Check belly for what? More info appreciated! I'll post a pic of my spotted mystery L204 here when I clean their tank again.

That is untrue. There are pleco hybrids, just no name or L number for them. If given the oppertunity, peckoltia will interbreed, and so will many hypans.
