thats cool. got some pics, i dont see them too often any more, they are hard to come by now i think. they are one of the better ancistrini species in my opinion. get to about 25cms, believe they are from the rio xingu but not sure on that. keep them about 6.5 to 7.5pH and temp around 25 degrees and they'll be happy. They will much on both veggies and meats. frozen bloodworms, krill, shrimp, that kind of thing, along with the vast amount of veggies they'll feed on (zucc, cuc, broccolli, shelled peas etc). just so you know 5$ is a really good price for these fish. are you sure. i'd get some more, if not all if i could.

I picked up 6 of them

Hmm... I have different info.

L082 grows to be 13cm, but that isn't a confirmed size. They are from the Rio Xingu. They should be fed as Davo said, as well as some meats. Live foods and frozen food should be offered very regularly. This species needs both meats and vegitation in their diet.

nah they dont quite make it to 12". they get a lot bigger than 5 or so inches. they also have a preference towards meaty foods i think
