Hi all, whilst browsing i found this http://www.completeaquatics.co.uk/store/product/1581/Fluval-G6-External-Filter-System/ and just wondered if any1 has 1???
if so what are they like, any better than the fx5 or is it just another 1 of fluvals extremly brilliant creations

Yeah it is pretty cool but does it work well, i suppose im asking if it works better than the fx5!!!!! could this G6 be the 1 to beat as far as fluval canisters are concerned

I honestly can't see it working better than the Fx5. The flow rate is a ton slower and the cartridges for the G6 are so much more expensive.

part of the reason the FX5 are so good, is due to the large volume of filtration space inside the can. you have tons of foam, and still 3 large baskets to add filtration media.

i know size dosent always matter, but in this case i think it does. i doubt the new fluval will be able to perform better, based on filtration media room alone
