L marmoratus

Leiarius marmoratus (Gill 1870). South America: Amazon, Essequibo, and Orinoco basins. To 60 cm. in length. Easily confused with Perrunichthys perruno, but more banded than spotted. Water Cond.s: pH5.8-7.2, DH to 15, temp. 24-26 C.

I keep L longibarbus with an arowanna and a cichla

I have a friend that had a l. marmoratus. Extremely gluttonous, Ha was just under a foot. and ate his oscars that was almost the same size. But a beautiful fish no less.
 
Every one thinks i am telling tales but.....My marmoratus was 4 inched when i bought him, I feed him nightcrawlers, smelt and shrimp. I have had him one month and he is 14 inches...all i can say is watch out he gained 10 inches in a month...lol :eek: :eek: :screwy:
