What size tank is your goldspot in and how old is it?

Well...until last thursday he was in my 220, but it decided to come apart. So he is currently in my brother's 125 for the time being. He is about 4 years old or so. They hit 10-12" quickly then slow down after that. Feed him lots of veggies. Thats what gets them growing fast

Vegetables (remember to wash all veggies of unwanted bugs and blanching veggetables isn't necessary- it takes away nutrients):
-Cucumber (This is not at the top for a reason, it is actually one of the least nutritious foods) Zucchini
Potatoes (I would soak these for a long time and wash thoroughly as they contain a lot of starch that is bad for water quality, although otherwise a great food source)
Sweet Potatoes
Shelled Peas
Broccoli
Carrots
Lettuces
Cabbage
Courgette
Yams
Parsnips
Squash
Suede
Spinach
Beans (green and lima are best)
Mushrooms
Asparagus
Egg plant/Aubergine
Cauliflower (stalk) Sprouts

Others:-Melon Bogwood Mango Apple Pumpkin Kiwi Rotting Leaves (or live)

yes this is an excellent list. start with some zucchini, they all seem to love it and it will get them into the habit of eating the veggies stuck to the bottom. L001 is my favorite pleco, but from my experience you will likely not see extremely fast growth rates from yours if you have him in the tank with that larger pleco. the stress level of being chased and competition for food will likely slow his growth rate and you won't be able to enjoy his color pattern due to always being stressed. it's best to only have one large pleco in a tank, even a large tank, but sometimes you can get away with it. the L001 get extremely aggressive with other bottom feeders when they get larger, I had a 14" L001 that started chasing and killing my bolivian rams too.

Yeah the big ones been chasing him a little bit he doesnt chase him at feed time only really if he comes across it,he doesnt seem to be stressed its still got good colouring and eating like a champion lol,but if the chasing gets to bad the L001 will be staying for sure :) i would love to feed them vegies like that but its rare over here to see vegies naturally grown instead of being pumped with chemicals unless theres a good natural grower.will definately try potatoes and few others I can get my hands on.
