L095 Beginning to have body turn orange?

Anyone ever seen/experienced this with their L095. He eats a lot of sweet potato, squash, honey dew melon, plain potato, and zucchini + whatever odd pellet he decides to occasionally boss his way on top of.

You can see the points of his armor really showing the orange tint, and it has been spreading more and more throughout his midsection there over the last 2 weeks.

No experience with the fish. Just wanted to say that's a very interesting looking fish. Nice color and spotting!

Yes as they mature oranges do show up on the body. Some more intense than others. I almost pulled the trigger on the ones Jeff Rapps was/is selling. Very cool looking pleco!!

Thanks for the info. He's 13" so he's pretty well matured I would think? I got this guy from Snookn21. Really wish I had grabbed 2-3 of them. This is easily my favorite pleco species now. Anytime my hand goes in to feed or clean, he comes up and rubs up against my arm, if I keep it still. Just the coolest damned fish I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

Wow.....wish one of my plecos would do that!.. .. sounds like it has an incredible personality.... you know some fish are like fine wines.... they keep getting better with time....
