L114 Leopard Cactus Pleco with lower tail missing

I got a L114 Leopard Cactus pleco from a friend that is missing the entire half of its tail. Will the lower half of the tail grow back?

Depends, how long has the tail been like that? If the damage is new then more likely but if it's been a while more likely it wont and can be a permanent damage. Sometimes fins dont grow back correctly or at all. But the chances of it growing back is higher then if it wont.

My friend doesnt really know how long the lower half of it's tail has been missing. Ill cross my fingers that the tail will grow back.
