Looking at some new arrivals from my good friend george.

see this thread:

wanted to know if anyone has any experience with L14's and polys? I'm asking about this plec in particular and not plecs in general.

As many of you will know my polys are all pretty big.

As a more aggressive and meat eating plec rather than a rasper I
would actually think these would be a better plec than most as they will actively hunt food and are not real suckers but more biters and with the amount of food that goes into this tank these guys will definitely not go hungry!

Large plecos that are more Carnivorous like L14's are more of a threat to Bichirs they have larger teeth that can do some serious damage they can take scales and skin off not just slime coats so if you keep them we'll fed it might work but watch the pleco carefully !

I think FishGoneWild had a small L14 with his bichirs back in the day. I know he separated it, but I'm not sure if it's because his fat bichirs ate all the food, or if it was munching on his polys.

I had mine together for over a year with no problems. I wound up selling the L-14 because I never got to see him anyway. I don't care for invisible fish. They're adding to the bio load and I get nothing out of it.
