L18 vs L177

honestly.. i didnt know there were more than one name for the same.. fish... L-18 and L-177 looks like its the same fish... i dont think one can ever tell..
 
there is three baryancistrus sp (that I know of ) that are called Golden nugget: L18, L81 and L177. L81 are easy to ID since it got smaller and more spots than the others.

L18 also grows to around 35cm when L177 grows to 20cm, so when they are adult you can ID them by their size.
 
So far gold nuggets have L18, L81, L85 (supposedly the adult of L18), L177.

As far as Im aware, the only difference is the size of the spots. L81 show small spots, L177 show large spots and L18 somewhere in the middle.

So the difference between L18 and L177 is that L177 should have larger spots but if you can only see individuals then how accurately can you judge which has the larger.
