when young, the green phantom needs algae, but they will become omnivores, eating meat as well in form of shrimp and will take shrimp pellets.

When young or old, green phantoms should not be fed on algae alone. They are omnivores from birth, they do not change their eating behavior as they grow.

Can i put a L200 in heavily planted tank or will it become a desert if I do?
I would not recommend doing it, as they will be very hard on the plants as far as breaking and uprooting, as they are far more active than most other species of loricariidae.
