I just bought 2 wild L205 and I am trying to sex them. I looked at planet catfish and i am still not sure. One has a much wider tail then the other one, they are both around 4" long.

Any I deas?

I will try tommorow when the lights are on. I never thought to take one of them together in the specimen container.

Should be pretty obvious, even without the fuzzy tail, that you have a pair. If the two are very similar in body structure, chances are they are the same sex.

That is what I thought, I paid to have them sexed and they I looked and no fuzzy tail.

They seem to have found a nice spot in the back of tank behind some drift wood so who knows, I may have new fry soon.
