  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i like to collect and breed plecos never seen one of these for sale will keep my eyes out but if you tell me why you want that one maybe we can find you something just as cool and easier to locate. canadapleco.com has one for 20

i had one about a year and a half ago and i loved it but the tank it was in caught a bad case if ich that killed everything in the tank. id like to have another one or two because of the color of the fish, the one i had was very very blue and i havent seen a pleco with that kind of coloring since. i am also open to suggestions to new plecos as well

You guys are in the states right?

If so ask snook21 I think is his username on this site. He is a vendor here great selection of pleco's. No need to buy from outside the states.

Plus that is a pretty common import these days.

My understanding is that most collecting, and then shipping, happens during the dry season, which is summer in the norther hemisphere. Collecting fish is easier in the dry season, when the water levels are lower. Though probably not what you want to hear, you may have to wait until April-May for your L239s.

Spot on, Linus. I typically see these fish on my suppliers lists in mid to late summer. They are, however, less frequently imported than some of the other more common panaques.

i hadnt thought about time of year being the reason i couldnt find any of them, thank you all. I did send an email to americancichlids to see if they are an in stock fish or not, fingers crossed
