L25 driftwood

Hi, I got a 7 inch l25 7pointer that doesn't seem to like driftwood , my lfs told me they would chew on driftwood but mine doesn't even go near it , any idea what's going on

Is it a new fish? They are more carnivorous fish but they do like to hide. Sometimes it takes time to get use to new environment

They do not chew on wood... they are carnivorous

It's up to u really but I've always had driftwood keeps pH down and good for hiding place

no they do not need wood in their diet

My Pseuda's will use the driftwood to rest and hide on but never see them trying to munch on it. Driftwood is needed for Panaques but not Pseuda's.

Pseudas doesn't really "NEED" driftwood, however, they are a good idea to have for decoration and to providing hiding places. Occasionally, you will see pesudas "sucking" on wood. They are actually trying to scrap off the organic layer that grows on top of surfaces in your aquarium, aufwuchs. Of course, if you have panaques, they would've scraped off all of them before any pseudas have a chance.
